Visudha Kelan is a dalit novel in Malayalam. It is the story of Kelan, a peasant, who belongs to the Pulaya caste. The members of the caste live lives very close to to nature. But migrant people who come from central and south Kerala in the post independent period exploit the Pulayas. The migrant community treat the Pulayas as slaves and oppress them. 

Characters like Kelan, Kali, Mani, Parukkutty, Velandi etc. help the readers travel to an entirely different experience.
